A Cherokee County, Alabama Sheriff's Office patrol vehicle was involved in a collision with another vehicle in Centre on Monday afternoon.

A Chevy Tahoe being driven by Cpl. Nick Vaughn crashed into a Dodge pickup on West Main Street; eyewitnesses say the pickup pulled out in front of Vaughn while attempting to make a left-hand turn.

Cpl. Vaughn was examined at the by paramedics with Cherokee EMS; fortunately the officer was unhurt; meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle was treated for what appeared to be only minor injuries.
