Cherokee County, Alabama Sheriff Jeff Shaver has scheduled a meeting this evening at the Cloudland Fire Hall just across the state line.  Sheriff Shaver says that he is committed to serving all the residents of Cherokee County and plans meetings across the county, with the first being held at Cloudland.

Earlier this month, Sheriff Shaver opened a satellite office at the Cloudland Fire Station Two.  Sheriff Shaver stated, “We appreciate Cloudland Fire Chief Cavin and the Cloudland Fire Department for graciously opening up their facility to us to offer an office for deputies to stop to do paperwork and at times meet with people for reports or other matters.”

This evening’s meeting will get underway at 6:30 PM Central Time.

The Cloudland Fire Department has the distinction of being the only area fire department that serves residents in both Chattooga County, Georgia and Cherokee County, Alabama.
