On the heels of its recent announcement that it will be shifting its e-commerce business to Ft Payne, the Children’s Place is now ready to begin accepting applications for the new operation, which is expected to begin sometime in June of this year. The company expects to add about 250 new jobs in the Ft Payne Distribution Center. Applications will be accepted at the Ft Payne Career Center during the remainder of the month of February, and interviews will begin in March. The Childrens Place will then partner with the Alabama Industrial Development Training program to provide training for selected applicants. Reportedly, the company will be considering candidates for full-time, part-time, and also seasonal employment, with several shift-plans being considered for the staffing of the e-commerce operation.
