Chattooga High School Freshman Brandon Siffles, of Summerville, was declared the state wrestling champion this weekend for the AA, 119-pounds weight class.

      State finals took place last week at The Arena in Gwinett County. His win also sets a local record. Siffles becomes the first freshman wrestler to win a state championship.

      Siffles ended the 2008-2009 season with a 59-7 record. Read this week’s edition of The News for more information.
