Global health service company Cigna, announced last month that fifteen of their employees nationwide had been selected for a “Community Ambassador Fellowship Program.”

The company states, ” We encourage our employees to give back to the global community through our Community Ambassador Fellowship program. Each year we choose up to 15 Community Ambassador Fellows to represent Cigna and complete a project to positively impact the health, well-being and peace of mind of the individuals in the communities where we live and work. Eligible employees have the opportunity to submit a project proposal and be selected for a Fellowship for up to three months, during which time they are on paid leave, and receive up to $20,000 to support the execution of the project. ”

Trion resident and Cigna employee, Rhonda Lively, has been selected to participate in Cigna’s Community Ambassador Fellowship Program for 2022. Lively will partner with Santa In Uniform, the Town of Trion Recreation Department, and the Trion Golf Course to provide a camp and golf equipment to sustain a recreational youth golf league in Trion, Georgia.

As a Georgia Community Ambassador Fellow, she will receive paid leave, benefits and a stipend to make a lasting impact in her local community.
