While December is still more than two months away, the City of Summerville is getting ready for Christmas. This past Friday, the city made an early announcement, revealing the official theme for its 2025 Summerville Christmas Parade. This aims to give community groups ample time to prepare for the annual Christmas event.

The theme for the upcoming 2025 parade is “Let it be Christmas Everywhere.” This theme sets the stage for a wide array of creative interpretations, encouraging participants to envision and present Christmas joy in myriad forms. The city extended an open invitation, stating, “Attention Churches, School Groups, Businesses, Civic Organizations, Ball Teams, Beauty Queens, Municipalities, and More! The City of Summerville Is Proud To Announce The Theme For The 2025 City of Summerville Christmas Parade.”

A long-standing tradition in Summerville, the annual Christmas parade consistently lights up the downtown area on the first Monday of December. This year, the date will fall on Monday, December 1st. With the theme unveiled so far in advance, participating organizations now have over two months to conceptualize and craft their floats and performances to best capture the “Let it be Christmas Everywhere” spirit.
