The Summerville City Council met on Monday evening of this week and approved a new position at city hall.  The council voted to approve the salary for a new IT person at a starting salary of $47,500 annually.  The council approved the salary and position, but opted to continue to advertise the open position for potential candidates.  The council also voted to approve almost $7,000 for payment for flood recovery cleanup by Superior Relief Services for work at the city’s maintenance building.
