Due to the forecasted rainfall for Northwest Georgia between now and Friday, The City of Summerville will have material for sandbags available at the Gas Lot located at 74 Henry St for the City of Summerville residents on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. The City will supply bags, ties, and sand while supplies last. Residents will be responsible for filling sandbags. If you need assistance, you may contact the Summerville Public Works Department at (706)859-0907 or City Hall at (706)859-0900 before 5:00 p.m. The gas lot will remain open so residents can fill bags at their convenience.
