The statewide Click or Ticket campaign is now underway through the Thanksgiving Holiday. The traffic mobilization effort is geared to educate motorists that proper use of seat belts save lives. Officers will be using road checks and concentrated patrols to spot motorists who are violating seat belt and child restraint laws, in an effort to limit the number of injuries and deaths on the highways. National statistics show that 51 percent of fatal traffic accidents occur because those killed were not wearing safety belts. Click It Or Ticket runs through November 25.
