Last Saturday, a Cloudland resident requested a deputy to come to Nightingale Road. 

The complainant, identified in a report from the sheriff’s office as Rebecca Devane, gave the responding deputy some printouts of a Facebook messenger conversation she had with a former owner of property on Nightingale Road and told the deputy about hearing gun shots.

The printouts concerned comments between herself and another woman about a news report from WRCB in Chattanooga about the ongoing situation the Devane’s are dealing with. The complainant has been the subject of several news articles concerning reported ongoing harassment at Cloudland.  The Devane’s purchased property on Nightingale Road and have had some property-related disputes.  The Devane’s say that people have been driving by and shooting.

WZQZ shared a video and statement by the Devane’s on our Facebook Page and the local newspaper and Chattanooga media have shared the Devane’s concerns.

The responding deputy said in the report that he heard gunshots while he was at the property last Saturday, however the gunshots were northeast of the Devane’s property and did not appear to be close by.  The deputy told Ms. Devane that a report would be on file at the sheriff’s office.
