This Thursday Evening Chattooga High School will be hosting a speaking event with Famed football coach Joe Kines. During his career Kines helped  take football teams to 15 bowl games. Over the course of his career he has coached at Alabama, Arkansas, South Carolina, Tampa Bay, Florida, Clemson, Jacksonville State, Florida State, Georgia and Texas A&M. Coach Kines’ first coaching job was at Chattooga High School. There will be a reception in the CHS Media Center from 5 to 6:45pm for all former players, coaches, cheerleaders, managers, faculty members and their spouses from the 1969, 1970 and 1971 seasons. At 7pm there will be an induction ceremony to The Chattooga Athletic Hall of Fame for four new members. The induction ceremony will take place prior to coach Kines speaking appointment. The four new members inducted are: Gary McConnell, Sewell Cash, Garland Pinholster and Joe kines will be inducted that night. Coach Kines will speak following the ceremony. The cost to attend the event is $20. Proceeds will benefit the CHS football program. Tickets are on sale now at Chattooga High School.
