The first freeze of the season for Northwest Georgia is coming a bit later than normal.  Typically, the first freeze for our area is in mid-to-late October.  Temperatures in the low 30’s this morning across Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama is bringing frost for the first time since early spring.

The low temperatures prompted the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, Georgia to issue the first freeze warning of the season.

Later today, we will see sunny skies and temperature in the mid-50’s.  We can expect another chilly night tonight with temperatures dipping down into the low 30’s for most of us.  Some higher elevations could see temperatures in the upper 20’s.

Election Day weather looks great – but it will be another chilly day.

By Wednesday, we will see high temperatures back in the upper 60’s and overnight lows in the 40’s.
