The Georgia Department of Education released the 2022 College & Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) last week.  Statewide, the numbers show that the pandemic affected students and State School Supt. Richard Woods is acknowledging that there is work to do for education to fully recover in the state.  Locally, some schools were above the state average and some below.

The state received permission from the U.S. Department of Education for exceptions to reporting this year because of the pandemic, and did not apply overall number or letter scores to Georgia schools.

Statewide, elementary school students scored 63 in content mastery and 71.8 in readiness. Georgia middle school students averaged 60 in content mastery and 75.1 in readiness and statewide high schoolers averaged 64.7 in content mastery and a 73.2 in readiness.  Here is how local schools compared:
