Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters will hold his regular monthly meeting this coming Thursday July 23rd at the Chattooga County Courthouse Annex in Summerville. The meeting will get underway at 6 PM.
Commissioner Winters told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio that he is looking at the budget for the Animal Control department. Winters said that he plans to budget part of the $100,000 yearly budget for animal control for enforcement and part for the animal shelter. Last week Aubrey "Smitty" Smith took on the job of animal control enforcement in the county. Chattooga County also provides animal control for the towns of Trion and Lyerly and the City of Summerville.
