Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters adopted the 2011 Budget on Thursday of this week.  The commmissioner said that he appreciated the constitutional offices of Chattooga County, such as Sheriff’s Department, Tax Commissioner, Probate Judge and Clerk of Court’s office for helping to trim down the budget.

Chattooga County like most other governmental agencies has seen a dramatic drop in revenue as property values have gone down along with sales tax revenue.  Chattooga County will be operating on a budget of less than $12 million in 2011.
