In his regular monthly meeting Thursday, Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters awarded bids for the Agricultural Pavilion. Bids were awarded to Bandini Construction of Centre, Al, for $39,945.00 for interior work; Willie’s Plumbing, Summerville, for $4,245.00 for interior plumbing: and Dixie Concrete, Trion, for $25,900 for interior concrete work.
Bids were opened for the renovation of the Chattooga County Civic Center. Those bidding on the project were K&R Construction, Summerville, $24,750 for exterior work and $33,625 for exterior labor; Willie’s Plumbing, Summerville, $22.717 for plumbing work; and Hampton Heating and Air, Lyerly, offered two separate bids for replacing the heating and air system at $31,000 and 42,000. Bids will be awarded at a later date.
In other business, Winters named Dr. Wayne Richey to the Chattooga County Board of heath to serve in the M.D. post on the baord. Richey is affiliated with Redmond Family Practice in Trion.
