There's nothing like a political campaign to bring out the good and bad in someone. But one race in Chattooga County is interesting because the two challengers have been lifelong friends. Democratic Incumbent County Commissioner Jason Winters and Republican Dewayne Dawson grew up together and hung out in high school. Winters said they two recently attended a high school reunion together. Dawson elaborated that they agreed not to discuss politics before hand and had a really good time. Winters said you don't have to be mortal enemies when you're running against someone for public office. Both men agree that running against someone you are close to and respect leads to a good race and shows that you truly are out for the best interest of the county.
