Commissioner Elsberry is planning on appointing a hiring committee for the Public Works Director Position, which is currently held by longtime Director, Joe Reed.

WZQZ reached out to Commissioner Elsberry regarding the committee to see who would be on it. Elsberry stated that the committee will most likely be made up of himself and other directors and employees who work closely with the position of Public Works Director. In person interviews are expected to begin this week.

We also asked the Commissioner about the Menlo dumpsite that is slated to close at the end of this month. They have a few leads, but no viable sites to move the dumpsters to yet. They are also still looking in the Gore-Subligna area for a dump site. They have not had one in several years.
