
Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry will be opening sealed bids at his office this morning at 10 AM to “renovate and repair” the old bank building located at 10050 Commerce Street in downtown Summerville.
Southeast First National Bank in Summerville announced in December of last year that the bank is providing the former bank building at the corner of East Washington Street and Commerce Street to Chattooga County to use as a Community Development Center.
Barry Hurley with Southeast First National Bank said, “After a prosperous year, we are excited to be able to provide this building to Chattooga County on a long term basis and to provide a gift to the County to remodel it into a Community Development Center for a “class A” meeting facility in our community”.
Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry said “It’s going to be a great benefit to the county and I am excited about the investment being made back into the community”.
The sealed bids will be opened this morning at 10 AM.
