Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters is preparing to release the budget for 2011.  The commissioner told AM 1180 on Wednesday that residents can expect to see about an 8% cut across the board in the county budget for the upcoming year. 

Winters said that he will be setting a time for a public hearing regarding the county budget within the next few days.  The commissioner added that the numbers for next year’s budget have not been finalized and that he will continue to work on cutting the budget over the next several days.  AM 1180 will let you know when the public hearing for the county budget is scheduled.
