Commissioner Jason Winters held his regular monthly meeting on Tuesday evening at the Chattooga County Courthouse Annex at 5 PM.  The commissioner reviewed actions taken by his office over the past month. 

Winters re-appointed local banker, John Sterner to a five-year term on the Chattooga County Board of Family and Children Services.

The commissioner also awarded a bid to William D. Patty Construction for construction of shoulders on various county roads.  The bids were opened on May 27 at 10 AM at the commissioner’s office.  Patty’s was the only bid received.  Patty will do the work for 43 cents per linear foot, per side.

Winters also announced a bid opening for bids on repairing the roof at the Chattooga County Jail.  The plan is to install rubber roofing on the building.  Bids will be received at the commissioner’s office until 12:01 PM – Thursday, June9 and will be opened on June 10 at 1:30 PM.
