Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry released a bid request for EMS service for the county on Thursday.

According to the correspondence released to WZQZ, the proposal was sent to Atrium Health Floyd, Advent Redmond, CHI Memorial and Erlanger Medical.

The bid proposal says that the “County (commissioner) reserves the right to award a contract to a Contractor of its choosing and to negotiate the contract with any or all Contractors that submit a proposal. Contractors are advised that it is possible that an award may be made without discussion or any contact concerning the proposals received.”

The bids will be opened on May 2nd at the County Commissioner’s Office on Commerce Street in Summerville.
