Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters talked with AM 1180 in a Newsmakers Interview program on Thursday about the decision to privatize the Chattooga County Ambulance Service.

Winters said that both Floyd and Redmond are comitted to providing at least four ambulances to the county and satellite stations located in various areas of the county.  Right now the county run service operates three ambulances from one central location in Summerville.  The commissioner said that this will help with better response times for patients being transported to Rome.

You can hear the Newsmakers Interview Program with Commissioner Winters coming up this weekend on AM 1180.  We will broadcast the interview on Saturday at 10:15 AM and again on Sunday afternoon after the 5 PM news.
