Redmond EMS took over the Chattooga Ambulance Service at midnight on April 1.  Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters said that the transition went smoothly and thanked county EMS employees for their help in the transition. 

Winters said that Redmond has ambulances stationed in Menlo, Gore and Summerville and will have ambulances in Trion when a suitable location is found.  You can hear more on the subject and more in a Newsmakers Interview program that will be broadcast on AM 1180 Thursday morning at 8:15 AM and again on Friday at 12:45 PM and Saturday at 10:20 AM.
