This year Chattooga County voters will be going to the polls this year to vote in several local races.  The state court judge is up for reelection and the there are three seats on the Chattooga County Board of Education that will be on the ballot.

State Court Judge Jon Dennis ran unopposed when he ran for reelection in 2018.  The state court judge will be seeking his third term in the upcoming election.

On the Chattooga Board of Education, the board seats currently held by Lynn Hall, Brad Hayes and Spencer Hogg will be on the ballot.  Hayes will be seeking reelection after being elected to the board in 2018.  Hall and Hogg will be running for the first time this year, as both were appointed to vacant positions on the board.

Chattooga County Commissioner Blake Elsberry set the qualifying fees for the candidates last week.  The state court judge qualifying fee is $1,352 and the school board qualifying fee is $36.  The state court judge position is non-partisan.  School board candidates will have to qualify as either Republicans or Democrats to be on the ballot.
