While most of the attention in tommorrow’s Democratic Run-Off ballot in Chattooga County has been focused locally on the Chattooga County Commissioner’s race and the local Sheriff’s race, the four men who are after those jobs won’t be alone on the ballot when Chattooga County voters go to the polls tommorrow.

Two Democrats are seeking their party’s nomination to run against incumbent Republican U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss in November.  Vernon Jones had the most votes in July’s Primary contest with 40%, but Jim Martin was able to get 35% of the vote in a field of 5 candidates.  Tommorrow the two will be on the ballot to decide who will face off with Chambliss.  Jones has been criticized for his support of President Bush in the last election and Martin is being criticized as a loser after running an unsuccesful campaign for Lt. Governor in 2006.
