At the May meeting of the Chattooga County Water District Board, Commissioner Jason Winters told board members that he would be presenting updated numbers on the exact cost of the Gore-Subligna Water Project.  Commissioner Winters said that those numbers would be available in June.

WInters told AM 1180 this week that he wanted people to know that the increase in water rates for existing water customers in the Trion and Teloga areas was something that had been agreed upon before his administration and was not the result of "paying for" the Gore-Subligna Water Project.

The estimated monthly bills for customers living in the Trion and Teloga areas will be between $12 and $13 which represents an increase of $2 to $3 per month.  Customers of the Chattooga County Water District in Gore, Subligna and Cloudland already pay a higher rate for their water service.
