Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters made the official announcement on Monday that the Chattooga County Ambulance Service would be privatized. Commissioner Winters said that he will decide which service to go with by February 15. In the mean time, the commissioner plans to meet with each current EMS employee to discuss the change and find out which service provider they would prefer to work with. Winters said that the goal is to have the new service provider for ambulance service in Chattooga County in place by April 1, 2011.
Commissioner Winters will be a guest on AM 1180’s Newsmakers Interview Program this week. Stay tuned for broadcast times. If you have specific questions for the commissioner – you can e-mail AM 1180 at chattooga1180am@hotmail.com
