It was reported that sometime Saturday or Sunday someone stole a company work truck from JP Smith Lumber Company in Menlo.
 
Steve Ayers told deputies that the Red 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, Four-Wheel-Drive Extended Cab truck had been parked behind the main office at the mobile home used for office storage at the Highway 48, business.
 
Someone reportedly entered the locked mobile home by cutting a window screen. The truck keys were inside the mobile home. The suspect also reportedly exited through the same window in which they entered. The truck was last seen Saturday by an employee.
 
The vehicle, valued at $3500 had damage to the left side and front fender. It had an aluminum toolbox attached to the bed. The investigation is ongoing, according to the report and a Be On The Lookout for the stolen truck was broadcast to other law enforcement agencies.
