Chattooga County Public Works Director Lamar Canada told AM 1180 that Giles Road in the Teloga Community and Buck Gardner Road in the Alpine Community have been closed due to water running over the roads.  Canada said that "water running over the roadway and bridges has forced the closing of the roads."

Chattooga County EMA Director Eddie Henderson and Trion Police Chief Chad Spraggins have been going door to door this morning in the Trion area and warning people in the flood-proned areas of the city that they may have to evacuate later this afternoon.

Chattooga County remains under a Flood Warning until further notice.
