
This week, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene recognized and honored the winners of the Georgia’s 14th Congressional District Art Competition.
The top five pieces were selected by a panel of local judges. 29 pieces were submitted to be judged from seven schools within seven counties including Calhoun High, Darlington School, Model High, North Murray High, North Paulding High, Ringgold High, and Sonoraville High.
North Paulding High had four of the winning pieces, a record number for North Paulding High. The winning piece will be shipped to DC to hang in the Cannon Tunnel.
The Winners are:
1st Place: “Live Jazz” Jack McWhorter, North Paulding High
2nd Place: “Typewriter Still Life” Joy Harris, North Paulding High
3rd Place: “A Strong Hold in Hard Times” Allison Craig, North Paulding High
Honorable Mention: “In the Hen House” Blakely Winkles, North Paulding High
Honorable Mention: “Phantasmagona” Cason Glover , North Murray High
People’s Choice: “No Title” Tessa Knowles, Model High
