A convicted child molester, who formerly lived in Chattooga County and now resides in Floyd County, was arrested this week by Floyd County authorities in connection with a case involving a minor in Chattooga County.
Floyd County Police arrested fifty-four-year-old Kenneth Lee Trammell on child molestation charges after information from Chattooga County that indicated Trammell had molested a young girl.
Court records indicate that in 1990, a jury found Kenneth Lee Trammel, who lived on Ridgeway Drive in Trion at the time, guilty of child molestation after he was accused of sexually assaulting a fourteen-year-old mentally handicapped boy. Then Trammell was accused of molesting his own daughter after an incident in which he inappropriately touched the girl, who was twelve-years-old at the time, in front of the child’s grandmother.
Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader says that Trammel was just released from prison in May of this year. He was arrested in Chattooga County in October of this year on child molestation charges.
