A brutal killing of a thirteen-year-old girl, thirty-five years ago resulted in a murder conviction for Judith Ann Neely. Neely was originally sentenced to die for the 1982 brutal slaying of Lisa Ann Millican in DeKalb County, Alabama. Neely is now set for a possible shot at freedom next month.
A parole hearing for Neelley has been set for May 23 in Montgomery. Millican’s family is trying to organize protests to urge the board to deny parole.
It has been 35 years since Neelley was arrested in Millican’s brutal slaying. In late September 1982, Neelley kidnapped the child from the Riverbend Mall in Rome and took her to a motel room for her husband Alvin to rape. After several days, Neelley took Lisa to Little River Canyon outside Fort Payne where she injected Lisa six times with liquid drain cleaner in a botched attempt to kill her.
After that didn’t work, Neelley led Lisa to the rim of the gorge where she shot her in the back and shoved her into the canyon.
Neely’s death penalty conviction was commuted to life in prison.

Why do they give these kind of people a second chance when they kill like this. It wasn’t likes car accident. They meant to do this!!!
They Should have put her down right after her conviction, don’t let her out
She should NEVER be released. She is pure evil.
She should stay where she is at , torturing & killing that poor child , kidnapping her to be raped repeatedly,She doesn’t deserve freedom
Judy Neeley herself was the victim of her “husband” Alvin. She was 15 years old to his 26. Yes, she did horrible brutal things, but she has changed a lot since age 17 when she committed murder at his behest. She became a Christian while in prison and has had led a completely different life, and as an inmate has shown exemplary behavior. She will probably never get out of prison, but this is a different case than that of full adult unrepentant murderers .
