Rome police say counterfeit bills appeared at two fast food restaurants Sunday.

According to Rome Police Department reports:

A supervisor at Zaxby’s, 2415 Shorter Ave., told police two fake $20 bills were found in the drive-thru drawer between noon and 6:30 p.m. It’s unknown exactly when the restaurant received the bills, reports state.

Police say another two counterfeit bills showed up between 5 and 7:45 p.m. at Taco Bell, 1802 Turner McCall Blvd. A man attempted to use fake bills in the drive-thru. An employee realized they were fake, and told the man to move his vehicle forward because the line was crowded.

The suspect then left the business without receiving his order, reports state.
