The streaming music service Pandora has honored country music super-group Alabama with a “Pandora Billionaire” plaque after the online music service certified over 2 BILLION Alabama music stream plays.

DeKalb County, Alabama native and co-founder of the group Teddy Gentry said, “The Pandora plaque was a nice surprise. We thought a million plays was a very big deal but two billion plays of our songs puts it over the top. We appreciate Pandora and thanks for the award.”

Country music singer Scotty McCreery presented Randy Owen and Teddy Gentry with the award.

Owen said, “We are so thankful to our fans and listeners for playing our music for over 50 years. Two billion is a big number. That means they like our music and want to hear it again and again. Thank you Pandora for the award.”
