County inmates have been busy the past several weeks picking up loads of trash from Chattooga County’s roadways. The county inmates were working on Butler Dairy Road on Saturday and Sheriff Mark Schrader says that they picked up over five large trash bags within a short distance.

The sheriff says that the work crews recycle the aluminum cans that they find along the roadways and that pays for their safety vests, water, supplies and money for their lunch.

Sheriff Schrader added, “PLEASE DON’T LITTER!”.
