Owners and operators of the convenience stores in Chattooga County that had their license pulled by Chattooga County Sheriff John Everett on July 13th were able to get the beer and wine license back yesterday morning.
Store owners told AM 1180 Chattooga County Radio that while they understand the problem with selling alcohol to minors, they would like to see Chattooga County’s beer and wine ordinance change to match the Summerville City ordinance. Stores inside the City Limits of Summerville were able to pay a fine and get their license back sooner than those stores in the county that were nabbed during the sting conducted by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department.
