Chattooga County Commissioner Jason Winters Thursday Morning adopted the 2012 budget. The new budger represents  about $1 million less than the 2011 county budget. Winters attributes that difference to the takeover of the ambulance service by Redmond Regional Medical Center.

He said that the ambulance service brought in revenue but also high expenditures.  the 2011 budget was $11, 916,000, compared to the 2012 budget of $10,900,000. Winters says he feels positive about revenue sources this year and think he has been conservative in revenue estimates.
