Two Floyd County parents were convicted yesterday in court on charges of child neglect.  The Rome couple was accused of mistreating their two children.  Amanda Staib is a 31 year old registered nurse and she along with her husband, 27 year old Gregory Staib were arrested and charged with child neglect after police were called to their residence on a domestic violence issue.  The home off of Alabama highway was described as littered with trash and a powerful smell of human waste.  A toddler was found at the home walking around with no clothes on.  The jury took less than two hours to convict the couple.  Amanda Staib was sentenced to 10 years in prison and will serve 6 years while her husband, Gregory Staib was sentenced to 10 years in prison to serve 4. http://romenews-tribune.com/pages/full_story/push?article-Parents+get+prison+time+in+neglect+case%20&id=4187243-Parents+get+prison+time+in+neglect+case&instance=home_news
