COVID-19 cases were down slightly in Chattooga County over the past reporting period.  Cases are reported weekly by the Georgia Department of Public Health.  The new statistics come out on Wednesday of each week.  The previous reporting period, there were eight new COVID-19 cases reported in Chattooga County, that number dropped to seven.  There were two COVID-19 deaths reported in Northwest Georgia, one in Floyd County and one in Bartow County.  There were twenty-six COVID-19 patients being reported at Rome hospitals – the highest number since September.
