The latest numbers from the CDC show that there have been 26,239 COVID-19 deaths in Georgia, an increase of 25 deaths since Thursday. Over the last 14 days where numbers were reported by DPH, the average daily increase in newly reported deaths was 29.64 deaths each day.

Over the previous 14-day period where numbers were reported, the average daily increase in newly reported deaths was 33.71.

There have been 1,339,502 cases. Over the last 14 days where numbers were reported by DPH, the average daily increase in newly confirmed cases were 3,480.29 new cases a day. Over the previous 14-day period where numbers were reported, the average daily increase in newly confirmed cases was 1,285.

There have been 92,785 total patients hospitalized in Georgia during the pandemic, according to the Department of Public Health’s cumulative total.

Chattooga County has had 3,808 cases with 92 reported deaths.
