Both local school systems reported a dramatic drop in the number of positive COVID-19 cases. 

The Trion City School system reported three cases at Trion Elementary School; no cases at Trion Middle School and three cases at Trion High School; giving a district-wide total of only 6 cases.

The Chattooga County School system reported no cases at Chattooga High School; three cases at Summerville Middle School; seven cases at Leroy Massey Elementary School; one case at Lyerly Elementary School; five cases at Menlo Elementary School and two cases in Chattooga Pre-K, for a system-wide total of 18 cases.

Chattooga County Schools remain on a hybrid schedule where students do distance learning on Monday’s and Friday’s until February 22nd.
