The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention dropped the rating for all Northwest Georgia counties from “medium” to “low” late last week.  The report shows that all area counties – including Chattooga County are designated as “low” areas of transmission for COVID-19.  The area was deemed “high” by the CDC early in July this year.  In recent weeks that designation was dropped to “medium”.  Throughout the region, there were 122 new COVID-19 cases last week and none of those were reported in Chattooga County.
