According to reports from the Summerville Police Department, 24-year-old Summerville man Joseph Adam Wehner was arrested Saturday for reckless driving after cutting donuts in the Marvin’s parking lot in his green F-150.
Wehner’s green 1994 Ford F-150 pickup caught a city police officer’s attention around 2 AM when he revved the engine while driving around the rain-dampened Marvin’s parking lot.
“The driver began to spin the tires on the truck then drift at a high rate of speed, causing the truck to turn completely around on the wet asphalt.”
When the officer made contact with him, Wehner did not have his license on him. He told the officer, “I can’t come up with no excuses brother, I ain’t got one.”
The officer noted in his report that it was apparent that Wehner’s stunt had put his 16-year-old passenger at risk.
Wehner was placed under arrest and taken to the county jail on the charges of reckless driving and operating a vehicle without a valid license.
A friend of Wehner’s attended to both his truck and the passenger.
