The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office was called to a Sloppy Floyd Lake Road address and met with a woman who said she was turning onto Sloppy Floyd Lake Road from Highway 27 when she saw a Chevrolet truck and a man running towards it from a car that had been parked on the side of the road for about a week. The woman said she went and looked at the vehicle and noticed that the back passenger side window had been damaged and several items were laying on the ground near the vehicle. Deputies contacted the owner of the vehicle, who was at work at the time, and let her know that the disabled car was being towed to her residence and that she should look inside and see what all was missing. The incident was turned over to an investigator.
