The deadline is approaching for students to sign up for the Chattooga County Young Farmers annual Pig Project.  The cost is $100 to participate.  Students will receive 2 pigs that they will raise and then auction off later this fall.  A preview show will be held at the Chattooga County Agricultural Fair in August.  The project is limited based on the number of pigs available and preference is given to 4-H and FFA students.  For more information, contact Chattooga Young Farmer Director Lauren Jarrett at ljarrett@chattooga.k12.ga.us.  The deadline to register is today.
