Governor Nathan Deal has said that he would not veto a bill to allow Sunday Alcohol sales in Georgia – as long as the decision is made by local citizens.  There have been several bills considered before that would have allowed local residents to vote on Sunday alcohol sales, but up until now Governors have expressed they would not be willing to sign the bill.  Currently Georgia is one of only a handful of states that does not allow the sale of alcohol on Sunday.  Deal said that he would sign a bill allowing Sunday alcohol sales as long as it was up to local communities to make the decision
