DeKalb County, Alabama Sheriff Nick Weldon is cracking down on illegal drugs and made two arrests of suspected drug dealers on the same day last week.
On April 6th, Narcotics Agent went to a residence on County Road 50 after receiving information about a marijuana grow in a residence, Agents arrived and spoke to the home owner Timothy Harold Hosch, age fifty-one of the Grove Oak Community. Grove Oak is a small community on Sand Mountain.
Inside the house, law enforcement found a room with an active marijuana growing operation. Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were also found inside the home. Hosch was charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 1st, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Theft of Property 1st.
Again, on April 6th, Narcotics Agents went to an address on Moore Loop Road in Crossville after a complaint was called in, upon arrival Agents talked to the residence owner and identified him as Daniel Dakota William Benjamin Clayton (23 of Crossville). During a search of the residence, agents found a trafficking amount of methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Clayton was charged with Trafficking in any Illegal Drug, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
