
The crisp autumn air will soon be filled with the sounds of carnival rides and live music as the 70th Annual DeKalb County V.F.W. Agricultural Fair returns to Fort Payne. Often known simply as the DeKalb County Fair, this cherished annual event will run for five days, from Tuesday, October 21st, through Saturday, October 25th, 2025, at the VFW Fairgrounds.
Promising a full slate of traditional fair favorites, the 2025 event blends thrilling entertainment with the celebration of local agriculture and community talent.
Thrills on the Kissel Entertainment Midway
A perennial highlight for visitors of all ages, the midway will be hosted by Kissel Entertainment, featuring high-flying rides and classic carnival games. Guests can look forward to rides suitable for young children as well as high-adrenaline options for thrill-seekers.
Midway tickets are priced at $1.50 plus tax each, with a bulk option of 22 tickets for $30.00 plus tax. Organizers confirm that discounted pricing options, including special “pay one price” nights for unlimited rides, will be available on select evenings throughout the week, offering great value for families.
Celebrating Local Talent and Tradition
The DeKalb County VFW Agricultural Fair maintains its strong commitment to highlighting local talent and farming traditions. Daily livestock shows will be held throughout the week, offering visitors a chance to view prized farm animals, including cattle and chickens, presented by local exhibitors.
Inside the exhibition halls, attendees can explore a wide variety of competitive entries from community residents.
