A woman on Dry Valley Road in Summerville called sheriff’s deputies on Saturday morning around 2 AM after having a verbal exchange with two men walking on her property.

The complainant told the responding deputy that she heard voices outside and went to the back porch to turn on security lights but didn’t see anything.  The complainant said that she then went to her front porch and saw two men walking down the road.  The complainant said that she wasn’t concerned with them walking on the road, but then the two men walked onto her property which is posted with “No Trespassing” signs.

The woman advised the men to get off her property.  One of the men replied, “What are you going to do if I don’t?”.  To which the complainant replied, “I will probably shoot you.”

A short time later a car stopped to pick the two men up and the woman heard what she described as “three loud pops” that could have been a gunshot or fireworks.

The responding deputy found two spent .38 shell casings and a cigarette and collected the items for evidence.

The incident was turned over to an investigator.
